Imagine a place...

Where young and old enthusiastically come to study and explore the richness of their heritage.
Where people come to help or be helped.
Where people care. And smile.
And are inspired to live life to the fullest.

The New Center for Jewish Life & Learning

With its warm and inviting approach, Chabad is a place where people from all walks of life—regardless of background, affiliation or level of observance—feel welcome and at home.

It all began in a small storefront and has since blossomed into a vibrant community center serving the Wilmette area with synagogue services, Hebrew School classes, JLI - Jewish Learning Institute, Teens in Action, youth programs, social services,  counseling, hospitality, vibrant activities, and unique Jewish programming to experience the joy and meaning of Judaism.

With the pride of success have come the challenges of growth. Overflow crowds and burgeoning enrollments coupled with tight space and limited facilities have escalated the urgent need for more spacious and conducive quarters to serve as the central hub of it's activities.

For two decades, Chabad of Wilmette has dreamed of the day it would build a beautiful center—buzzing with the laughter of children, the pursuit of knowledge and the spirit of community.
A center that will change the course of history for this community. That day is at hand. The campaign to build the New Chai Center - Chabad of Wilmette is underway. The fulfillment of this dream depends on people of initiative and compassion, of vision and generosity.

The only question that remains is whether or not you will be a part of it... For decades to come, let it be engraved in stone for all to see that there were those who lived not only for today and for themselves, but when standing at the historical crossroads, took that plunge and made that sacrifice to ensure and secure a strong and bright future for the greater Wilmette Jewish Community.

It depends on you.
